woman construction

On 10th May, the Malta Chamber of Construction Management (MCCM) is planning to hold two events of relevance to the construction industry.

The first event is a seminar being held in the morning titled: ‘Women In construction: The Malta perspective – from inception to completion.

It is being hosted at the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and is intended to celebrate and promote women working within the construction industry, which currently is a very male-dominated space.

The event will feature several female guest speakers involved in the industry to share their career experiences. The themes of equality and inclusion will also be discussed and promoted during the seminar.

Later in the day, the MCCM will celebrate the inauguration of its office in Floriana, a major milestone for the organisation which was founded only in 2021. The event will feature the presentation of certificates to new members and will be followed by the official inauguration of the premises by the Minister for Public Works and Planning, Zrinzo, Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, and MCCM president Jesmond Chetcuti.

The events will also coincide with the visit of Caroline Gumble, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Building (UK)

Details about the seminar can be found here, while details about the inauguration can be found here.
