The Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises will be celebrating the 20th year since its foundation in style, at the AX The Palace hotel in Sliema, with a two-day conference focusing on digitalisation, entrepreneurship, industry skills, green skills transition, and foreign direct investment.

Better known as BusinessMed, the organisation brings together business representatives from 24 European and Mediterranean countries to discuss issues and solution relating to the Mediterranean economic area.

Spread over Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th September, the event will feature several illustrious guests, opening with a message from President George and closing with a video message from European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.

Former European Commission Karmenu Vella will be speaking during a panel on maritime logistics, while high level representatives from the Union for the Mediterranean, the International Organisation of Employers and International Labour Organisation will be present for the events.

Panel discussions, workshops and B2B meetings are being organised to offer Maltese companies the opportunity to meet other companies and business representatives from the Euromed area.

Up to a hundred participants are expected to take part, hailing from all the Euromed area

On Wednesday, participants will be visiting the Maritime MT school and Farsons.
