Covid Vaccine

The number of COVID vaccination doses given in Malta surmounted 400,000 on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne has announced.

It is only the latest vaccination milestone surmounted by Malta, whose programme has continued to speed ahead of its European peers.

Also this week, it was reported that the vaccination programme has reached 60 per cent of Malta’s adult population, and the programme’s pace continues to increase, as from next Monday, all those over 16 that are officially residing in Malta will be eligible to register to receive the vaccine.

All those eligible to book their appointment are urged to do so by entering their details on vaccine.gov.mt, or by sending their ID card number to 99180045 for those who wish to receive the jab in Malta, and to 99180044 for Gozo. “Take the jab”, says Mr Fearne.

According to unsanctioned calculations by Malta Today, 70 per cent of Malta’s population is set to be jabbed by 19th May.
