Malta International Airport (MIA) on Saturday welcomed its first direct flight from Zagreb, Croatia, operated on Tuesdays throughout winter by Lauda Europe.
MIA also announced a first direct flight connecting Malta with Parma, Italy, to be operated on Saturdays, also throughout winter. This will be operated by Malta Air, which airline commenced in June 2019 and is a joint venture between the Government of Malta and Ryanair.
Lauda Europe is also a Malta-registered subsidiary of Ryanair.
While Italy is one of MIA’s most popular markets, connected by flights to 16 out of its 20 regions, the Zagreb route is the first direct link between Malta and Croatia.
