GasanMamo Insurance (GMI) brought their team together for a day of team-building in June to celebrate their annual GMI Day. It granted their staff the opportunity to participate in a number of activities, inform themselves on the company’s undertakings and listen to to a motivational speech by the acclaimed Rashmi Airan.

The day kicked off at the Michelin-star Chophouse bar and following a series of presentations, the team embarked on a team-building activity at the Sliema Ferries.

During the gathering, managing director Julian Mamo provided an update on the company’s latest achievements and its future growth to inform participants of the company’s direction.

Renowned risk management and crisis communications speaker Ms Airan, delivered a speech to the attendants which paid particular attention to mindfulness and ethics in people’s personal and professional decision-making.

“Each day, globally, our cultures and situations influence our decisions, actions, and behaviours. Pause, listen to your inner voice, reflect, and make conscious decisions after you apply moral awareness and judgment,” said Ms Airan.

At the Sliema Ferries, the team was split up and taken aboard two ships named ships Hera and Fernandes in order to engage in a competitive activity called Battle at the Sea. Following the activity, the day concluded with a boat party, allowing colleagues to catch-up and spend time together in a leisurely setting.

“These regular events really do strengthen our unity and camaraderie,” said Mr Mamo.

“The combination of inspiring speeches, fun activities, and genuine connections make it even more memorable as we look forward to more exciting times ahead.”
